BetterHR is looking for a Backend Laravel Developer to join our engineering team.
We are looking for someone who is strong in PHP/Laravel backend development and can help us build reliable, scalable, and high-performance backend services.
In this role, you will mainly focus on:
- Building and maintaining backend APIs
- Developing server-side business logic
- Working with databases and optimizing queries
- Building secure authentication and authorization flows
- Working with GraphQL using Lighthouse
- Handling large data import/export when needed
- Writing clean, maintainable, and performance-aware code
Job Requirements
Tech stack / skills preferred:
- PHP / Laravel
- Modern PHP practices, including OOP and type declarations
- Backend API development
- GraphQL / Lighthouse
- MySQL or related databases
- JWT authentication
- Laravel Excel import/export experience is preferred, especially for handling large datasets
- Good understanding of backend architecture and performance optimization
