Backend Laravel Developer

BetterHR is looking for a Backend Laravel Developer to join our engineering team.We are looking for someone who is strong in PHP/Laravel backend development and can help us build reliable, scalable, and high-performance backend services.
In this role, you will mainly focus on:
Building and maintaining backend APIs
Developing server-side business logic
Working with databases and optimizing queries
Building secure authentication and authorization flows
Working with GraphQL using Lighthouse
Handling large data import/export when needed
Writing clean, maintainable, and performance-aware code
Tech stack / skills preferred:
PHP / Laravel
Modern PHP practices, including OOP and type declarations
Backend API development
GraphQL / Lighthouse
MySQL or related databases
JWT authentication
Laravel Excel import/export experience is preferred, especially for handling large datasets
Good understanding of backend architecture and performance optimization
